Re: Tire Center Tread Wearing Fast, Running 36 - 37 PSI (Cold)

As of this morning around 5:30 am local time I dropped the pressures down to 29.5 PSI on a digital gauge I recently got that goes down to 0.1 PSI. Still showing center wear greater than outer and inner tread. The amount of distance between the ground and the rim looks like a concern with the origina...

Re: Tire Center Tread Wearing Fast, Running 36 - 37 PSI (Cold)

Got a TPMS pressures low warning light last night. Stopped at a gas station after around 5 to 10 miles, very near LAX my destination. Sadly I didn't have a pressure gauge in the under trunk storage so went into the store and across the street at the 76 to try to buy one. No luck. So I felt the tread...

Re: A Replacement Wheel Costs $$$!

Turns out Honda went out of it's way to engineer a passive noise cancelling device integrated into each wheel! Some more info here: https://global.honda/innovation/technology/automobile/Noise-reducing-wheel-picturebook.html Feeling pretty rotten that I've curbed our wheels quite severely, the option...

Aftermarket Wheel = Extra Noise?

Just great. Just found out about tire noise reducing resonators from material I got from Honda Techinfo. I guess that is why the OEM wheels are so expensive. More info here: https://global.honda/innovation/technology/automobile/Noise-reducing-wheel-picturebook.html I do not think one would be able t...

Re: Aftermarket Wheel Compatibility

With over 53k mi I guestimate we'll reach the wear bars at around 60k mi. At that time, because of all the curb rash, I have started looking at wheels. With the rear wheel overhang I am scared to deviate much from stock specs. I was leaning towards Konig Maxxim Winner wheels 18x8 ET +45 but they see...

Re: Tire Center Tread Wearing Fast, Running 36 - 37 PSI (Cold)

Been running at 30.5 PSI (Slime digital gauge) for a while now. I can see the typical sidewall bulge at the bottom where the tire contacts the road. It's a little concerning considering the low profile but I drove over 250 mi yesterday and although I saw many people with tire trouble on the side of ...

Re: Brake Bleeding, 2 (Wo-)Man Operation No Fancy Tools Required.

Also someone in another forum corrected me, ON Mode is supposed to be only two presses of Power button without depressing the brake pedal. I assumed because there was no warning about potential dead battery that it meant READY mode which means you can shift to D or R and drive off. I haven't been ab...

Re: Shifter Concern.

Having gotten a lot of driving in on the Clarity, I eventually realize that sometimes, (even when the HOLD function is off), the vehicle will creep forward after a complete stop. And other times, it will act as in N and roll backwards with the slope. (I think it depends on how firmly I press the bra...

Re: When to Change the Cabin Air Filter

My wife drove the car to work yesterday and typical I get in the car this morning to rush our son to his driving lesson and dash cluster says "Service Due Now A 1 2" at 49552 mi. I drive the 4 miles to the driving school and replace the filter at 49556 mi. Here's the old one: https://photo...
