Turning Off Navigation When Underway

Fri May 18, 2018 6:29 am

Is there any way to use a voice command to stop navigation once you are underway? It would be nice to be able to say "Stop Navigation." Has anyone found any workarounds short of pulling over and doing it manually.

Or how about saving a destination to which you are currently headed for later use? Seems like you have to go back into it as a previous destination in order to access the menu that has that. Or again, is there a workaround that anyone has found?

Stopping navigation in CarPlay doesn't require pulling over, though that would be the safer approach. Just touch somewhere on the screen and a rather small "End" button appears in the top right corner which requires a bit of a reach and eye off road since it is so small. But it does work while driving.

Can't speak regarding Honda's navigation as I haven't really used that as I'm more familiar with Apple.

There's a small X on the right hand side of the screen just under the magnifying glass symbol that will cancel navigation or you can go to MENU button under the HOME button on the left side of the screen and push red STOP button.
