Re: BEST EV Range after FULL CHARGE

Here's an update to my previous post. The highest I have seen is 61.5, and it is much harder to beat now, as you basically have to beat your average. I think it may also depend on the type of charger. in terms of how much of a charge they can actually put in the battery. Has anybody else noticed thi...

Re: 120 volt charging cable

I have been doing this with no apparent ill effects... of course, the amber light stays on to let you know that the power is flowing that far. I'm not an electrician, but I feel like it is no different than when the charge is complete and the charger is still plugged into the car, as current stops f...

Turning Off Navigation When Underway

Is there any way to use a voice command to stop navigation once you are underway? It would be nice to be able to say "Stop Navigation." Has anyone found any workarounds short of pulling over and doing it manually. Or how about saving a destination to which you are currently headed for later use? See...

SF

I was reading another article and found the ChargePoint (not ClickPoint) app.

For the benefit of other readers, that is another way to find locations to charge when "on the road," often free.

Re: Driving Strategy: When to Use ECO, HV, etc.

Thank you CW and SF! CW, that is a good analysis. I have to get out of the mentality that home electrons are free. I'm sure I will, the first electric bill since buying the car is due any day :-) In actuality, I pay about 18 cents/kWh here in Massachusetts and about $2.70 per gallon at the moment. T...

Driving Strategy: When to Use ECO, HV, etc.

New Clarity PHEV owner here. I'm loving this car, but I think the owners manual leaves much to be desired. For example, the impression I got at the dealership was that you basically toggle between the three driving modes, ECO, SPORT, and HV (plus the HV charge option). And I can't find a mention of ...

Re: BEST EV Range after FULL CHARGE

New PHEV owner here, so I've only had three full charges so far. My first range was 39, which was concerning. I thought there might be a problem with the battery, but I relaxed when I realized I was going over 1.6 mi for every one mile drop in range. Then the second came in at 47, and the third just...

Re: Cruse control speed regulation

Greetings! Just bought a Touring PHEV and noticed this cruise control "issue" right away, but I'm considering it a feature rather than a bug. My former car (a gas Camry) used to downshift and rev up to get the last 1-2 mph going uphill... it always seemed to do it just near the top... even on fairly...
