Re: When to service/oil change?

BTW- The air filter change was easy to do. And now there are a couple youtube videos on it to provide guidance. Cabin filter or engine air filter? I think it's a long while before the engine air filter is called for. (Manual notes 15k miles if in very dusty conditions or something to that effect. M...

Re: Weird behavior while in Hybrid mode

Checking out the engine specs on the Honda owners website the 1.5 L engine has 103 hp and 99 lb-ft of torque. Not surprising when out of battery the engine may have to work hard. Electric motor has 181 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque...

LED Vanity Lights Unpleasant in the Dark.

Tried the visor light this morning before sunrise when still dark and the bright white light was unpleasant to the eyes. Gonna leave them because I already installed them but if they ever burn out may just replace with the originals.

Tire Center Tread Wearing Fast, Running 36 - 37 PSI (Cold)

I was at the local park waiting for my son during his tennis lesson. After opening up the four vanity covers I decided to take a look at how the tires are wearing. They are wearing quicker in the center of the tread. The tires were just recently rotated, and the rear look worse than the front. Most ...

Re: Vanity Mirror Lights, Replacing the Only Incandescent Bulbs in the Entire Car with LEDs

There are two holes in each of the little white covers. The bottom one you slide your thin flat head press in while prying upwards. I applied masking tape over a letter opener. Don't use the one on the upper side as you'll likely damage the two prongs sticking out the top. I don't want to be pulling...

Vanity Mirror Lights, Replacing the Only Incandescent Bulbs in the Entire Car with LEDs

Funny, if you go to the Sylvania Bulb Application Guide you will find one single bulb that is replaceable in the entire car, the ONLY incandescent bulb used. It is 6615F and used in the two vanity mirrors on the sun visors. Following this thread: https://www.insideevsforum.com/community/index.php?th...

Tire Rotation per Maintenance Minder.

Been trying to figure out how many miles does it take for the Maintenance Minder to ask for tire rotation service. I just had the tires rotated yesterday. Service Minder said A 0 1 due @ 32706 mi. The day before roughly 42 to 45 mi prior Maintenance Minder said 11 Days until due. I've been annoyed t...

Maintenance Mode, for Warming Engine Prior to Oil Change.

To try to make up for my confusion about the oil change interval I'm going to post how to put your engine into maintenance mode: Turn on the car, (or if already on), then turn it off, within 60 seconds perform the following: Turn Ig-ON but not the engine, do this by pressing the Start button twice w...

An Apology

Yesterday early AM I went to get the car washed so my wife didn't have to drive a filthy car to work. Maintenance Minder said 11 Days to go. She went to work and came back. I asked her if it says service is due thinking highly likely not. Today I check tire air pressure and since I make an adjustmen...
