Re: When to service/oil change?

Yesterday I drove the car a little and noticed we are nearing 21300 miles. Still says 6 weeks until due. It will be interesting to see how far mileage wise it will go beyond 10k, which I thought was the original demarcation. One year will be this January sometime...

Re: When to service/oil change?

Looks like we may pass 10k miles since last oil change this month, which is roughly two months early from 1 year. The car says 6 weeks left as of last night, and we are about 100 miles from the 10k mi point. I will report what happens as we may finish the 10k miles by early next week....

Re: PHEV: Fuel Door Getting Stuck/Not Opening.

Last two times, (three total including my last post/report,) opened up first time. Last tank was not a full tank, maybe I filled 3/5 the tank, if that counts for anything.

Re: Stale gas

I have cars sitting around for years. I keep battery maintainers on all of them. They start right up no issues as long as the batteries are okay. I do try to keep the gas tanks full. The tank in the PHEV is very small. It is easy to consume if you are worried. Just don't charge it for a little while...

Re: PHEV: Fuel Door Getting Stuck/Not Opening.

Well, last time I tried early in the morning cool weather (about 60 F), reasonably clean car, it opened first try. Maybe it's dust/dirt accumulation?....

Re: EV Charge range

Well, most people drive under different conditions. If they don't "normalize" the conditions, then the range they provide is going to be pretty much meaningless. As extreme examples, one who drives "in town" may get a lot more range vs someone driving strictly 70 mph down the highway. I just read so...

Re: PHEV: Fuel Door Getting Stuck/Not Opening.

Okay, so the intermittent issue is getting worse. It is almost every time I have to fill that the first press fails. I did try the emergency fuel release. First time I pulled it, it also failed to open! I only had to fill once since I "found" the emergency release, but it feels like similar to the r...

Re: Problem charging after long drive?

Sorry to read of your troubles darthpuupy! I guess I'm lucky the power around here seems to be stable. (We did get an outage due to a metallic balloon shorting out the power a while back that forced me to pull out the generator for I think 5 or 6 hours)!... Hopefully not true about scaling back the ...
