Re: AC effective in hot weather? Clarity EV

I can't seem to find the one I had encountered (I believe on the MyNissanLeaf forum) that concluded that the battery resources couldn't even address all of the U.K.'s driving consumption. I do still see this one, though it doesn't go so far as to say it can't be done but does focus on the constraine...

Re: AC effective in hot weather? Clarity EV

There are a lot of trade offs in battery sizing for these cars. Larger batteries mean more cost and weight, which impacts efficiency. Multiple studies have concluded that there isn't enough of the battery raw materials and mining infrastructure to convert all of society's driving to EV only, even fo...

Re: Decreased Full Charge Range

Also useful to note the mi/kWh as that can give an indication on whether the reduced range is due to driving efficiency or battery capacity. Is that only available on the Clarity EV? I love having that info on my Leaf, but haven't been able to find it on my PHEV? I'm guessing they only provide that...

Re: Am I doing damage driving with no charge for too long?

For a PHEV, it shouldn't be a true problem, but rather an annoyance. If it was a true problem, something should have been stated in the owner's guide that came with the car. As for annoyance, the Clarity PHEV does get rather loud when driving at highway speed or up a steep hill at speed when the bat...

On the phone. Today it is working normally. So I guess it was a temporary bug.

HondaLink Broken?

Today when I try to use HondaLink, I get a "Terms & Conditions" screen with a message "We've updated out Terms & Conditions" message with only one button, a rather blurry "Accept". Clicking on "Accept" presents a very long Terms & Conditons screen with only "Close" as the only option. Closing it tak...

Re: PHEV Burning Smell Hybrid Driving For About 18 mi.

Glad to hear that isn't a recurring issue and hasn't caused a problem. Did you ever get an answer from the service center as to what might have been the issue?

Re: When to service/oil change?

Today my dash says the service is overdue by 1 day. Since I took delivery on 2/18,/18 I'm very sure it is time based. Serviced scheduled with the dealer for 3/1, so I guess I will see it balk for 2 weeks.
