Not to get back on topic but we got our $2500 check from Oregon, purchased first week of Feb, 2018
Nice to hear. I have to wait until the end of March for my phase II app since we got ours in October.

Re: UPDATE: Oregon EV Rebate

I understand that but how do you explain one day I am getting 50 miles per charge, the computer fails, the next day I am getting 35 miles per charge. The weather, driving daily all the same. I guess Honda will have to run a test to see if they can find anything. Thanks for the response as I realize...

Re: UPDATE: Oregon EV Rebate

Larry, All vehicles, no matter how they are powered, have reduced efficiency (and therefore range) in the winter. 37 miles of estimated range is well within what is normal to see in what passes for winter in the Willamette Valley. There are basically 3 things that reduce your winter range: 1) Physic...

Re: computer failure

Not sure what your question is. 37 miles is within normal range in the winter time. The range estimate on the display is just that, and will vary based on recent driving history, using more heat and/or driving at higher speeds will reduce the available range. It is possible they did a software updat...

Re: More engine noise after software update?

Howdy! I bought a 2018 Clarity Plug in hybrid two days ago. The vehicle that I test drove was really quiet, but my one sounds like a lawnmower in EV mode, reacting sharply to any touch of the accelerator very noisilly, and with 'over reving'. Its definitely mode-specific, as its much better/quieter...

Re: Charging problem when temperature is cold

This is indeed a known issue, and seems to be reported more with Chargepoint equipment than other manufacturers. There is a service bulletin with a software update to address this issue. In the US it is: Service Bulletin 18-097 September 20, 2018 Version 1 Clarity Fails To Charge or Finish Charging ...

Re: UPDATE: Oregon EV Rebate

The DEQ is starting to issue rebate checks for the standard rebate with first checks going out ~12/21. Both the BEV and PHEV Clarity qualify for $2,500. Rebates are being processed in the order received. They are doing Jan '18 purchases to start, and will proceed month-by-month until all are caught ...

Re: CarPlay Incoming Call Volume PHEV

I think I rad somewhere that the volume had to be adjusted while the ring (or call?) was active.
Worth a shot, but not sure if it will remember the volume setting after the car/phone is switched off (even if works).

Re: Phone call sound quality

We've actually found it to be quite good, but don't use the phone much while driving. Had one instance where they couldn't hear for second or two in the middle of the call, but no other issues. Are you connecting via bluetooth or plugging the phone in via the USB? My wife had one bluetooth headset t...
