Re: PHEV Back Up Camera

Sent you a private message, but you cannot load or attach pictures on this board, you must link to it on another site (Imgur, etc).

Re: Phone call sound quality

We've actually found it to be quite good, but don't use the phone much while driving. Had one instance where they couldn't hear for second or two in the middle of the call, but no other issues. Are you connecting via bluetooth or plugging the phone in via the USB? My wife had one bluetooth headset t...

Re: PHEV Back Up Camera

I'm assuming you (and/or the dealer) cleaned the lens.
The camera on our Electric version isn't super clear, but it is consistent and not out of focus in any area.

If you can get a picture, we might be able to help a bit more?

Joining the owners ranks

Have been on "the list" for a blue BEV, and just got word that it has been unloaded in Richmond and is on it's way. Went in and did the prelim paperwork/credit app today. :D Should be here by the end of the month. Many things we'll miss about the Fit EV, but also many we won't. The $1K loyalty disco...

Re: Oregon EV Rebate

The good news is that those that submitted applications will still get their rebate, just much later than anyone hoped. I hosted an overview and Q&A session at our NDEW event last month, and got several detailed questions that needed policy and procedures to be defined. HB2017 gave a general framewo...

Re: kWh Usage on 120V

The charge cord included with the clarity will charge at 12A and 120V. The equates to 1.44kW, so 1 hour of charging will use 1.44kWh. Very roughly 90% of that will actually make it into the battery. There is less of a "taper" with L1 charging, but as the battery gets full, charging will slow (the ch...

Re: Suggested Improvements

3. Trunk Pass-through: When folding down the rear seats, the available pass-through circumference seems inconveniently narrow - there must be an engineering/structural reason for this (the Volt, a hatchback, has full access to the trunk area with complete uniformity over the folded rear seats). The...

Thanks for the info, from my initial reading I thought the Clarity PHEV had a large enough battery to qualify for the $2500 rebate. I could be wrong, as always.
Sorry, typo.

It does qualify for the $2,500

Will edit and correct the post.

Oregon EV Rebate

For those of you that live in Oregon, on Aug 2nd the Oregon Supreme Court issued a ruling upholding the funding method for the EV rebate program and the DEQ will start processing applications and issuing refunds. You must apply (have applied) within 6 mos of purchase/lease. They were taking a "Phase...

Re: BEST EV Range after FULL CHARGE

EV range is similar to MPG of gas: city driving will get fewer miles to the full charge than a smooth ride on a highway. Unlike ICE vehicles, EV's are more efficient in city driving. The primary factors are slower speeds and recapture of energy when slowing (regen). The EPA range ratings for the Cl...
