Re: TPMS sensors acting up

I had something weird happen with my 2018 Clarity's TPMS recently. I've been bad: haven't personally checked the tire pressure since I bought the car a year ago (but it was serviced 2 months ago at the dealer, and it also went in for a stone jammed in the wheel, so they would have checked then too,...

Re: TPMS sensors acting up

Yes, you should most definitely do the TPMS calibration. The Clarity doesn't actually use pressure sensors, but instead looks at speed differential between the various wheels to detect a tire with a lower pressure (and therefore smaller diameter). If you take it to the dealer, they will do the same ...

Re: Problem charging after long drive?

A charge abort is very unlikely to be due to battery temps. There is an issue either with the power, the EVSE, the charger (built into the car), or a combination thereof. The battery would have to be VERY hot to cause the charge session to stop early, and that would mean a problem in the thermal man...

Re: AC effective in hot weather? Clarity EV

I can't seem to find the one I had encountered (I believe on the MyNissanLeaf forum) that concluded that the battery resources couldn't even address all of the U.K.'s driving consumption. I do still see this one, though it doesn't go so far as to say it can't be done but does focus on the constrain...

Re: AC effective in hot weather? Clarity EV

Multiple studies have concluded that there isn't enough of the battery raw materials and mining infrastructure to convert all of society's driving to EV only, even for relatively small markets like the UK by itself. The biggest environmental bang for the buck of scarce resource is to go hybrid or P...

Re: EV Charge range

The range reported by Honda is based on a specific set of tests (as dictated by the EPA) performed under laboratory conditions. Different driving styles, speed, weather and other factors will all influence the range an EV can get. Enjoy the "bonus" range while the weather is good. Not sure where yo ...

Re: Full Electric Availability

I've yet to fast charge, from the spec's it says 80%, so I should use that in my planning (?) (200 mile drive w 5000+ ft elevation change). Thank you I've fast charged 3 times, so can give a little insight. First time was at a Greenlots unit. I didn't really need to charge, but it was at a Kia deal...

Re: Tint or one-way film for trunk window?

I was going to post that as a suggestion, but no personal experience If it were me, I'd give something like this a shot. No glue and removable: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B073TVRQ5D/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_K7olDb4WW05T Not sure if you were thinking of doing both the clear back seat window and the ti...
